Most of the proposals is limited to display an icon in the Notification Area of Windows and your image will alternate depending on network activity. The Network Activity Indicator is a new alternative, which gives you this basic information and it still adds additional information which is very useful.
I dare say that the Network Activity Indicator is what Microsoft should take as an example for future implementation of a function of gender. Not just for the simplicity with which it is constructed and presented, but also because it gives us much information.
Beyond the obvious activity of the network interfaces, Network Activity Indicator shows you a small window where they can view information on the traffic that goes through there. This window can be fixed on the desktop and thus have access directly to information that you provide. For that they should use the symbol on the upper right corner and know whether they are users of Windows 7.
Are present there, beyond the name of the interface that is being used, the number of packets sent and received.To add to it can still find information on the current bandwidth for uploading and downloading that are currently using.

The Network Activity Indicator is an excellent application to control the use of your network card and brings back a feature much appreciated in Windows and disappeared with the arrival on the scene of Windows Vista and later with 7. Maybe Microsoft will listen to the many users who want this function back and this will be incorporated back in the future Windows 8
