Howard Stringer wrote a letter to all PSN users.

Howard Stringer recently sent a letter to all users of the PlayStation Network, which apologizes and promises to resolve the problems soon.

In the document published in the official blog of the PS, the chairman and CEO of Sony Corporation reinforces the idea that the PSN will be back within days, even without giving a precise date.

The executive also notes an insurance worth one million dollars, through which users of the network can be compensated in case of identity theft.

While announcing this measure, which is already in force since May 5, Stringer maintains that there is no certainty that the data of users have actually been stolen.

"Some think it should have been warned earlier, what is fair.  But once we discovered the potential scope of the intrusion, and turned off the PSN Qriocity and hired the best experts to determine what is happening, "reads the letter.

"I wish we had made a reply earlier, but forensic analysis is a complex and time consuming.  Stringer.
